Number of young people engaged with through youth development projects
54 young people were engaged through youth development projects. This includes:
- 8 young leaders co-produced a Youth Summit in 2022
- 8 WOWsers learned about art and activism and developing events for The WOW Barn Festival.
- 11 early-career music promoters gained skills and experience in the music industry through workshops, mentorship, placements and a live project.
- 23 young people took part 'Lift the Lid' learning skills in media and podcasting.
- 11 young creatives collaborated for Children's Day: Reimagined with Fevered Sleep.
- 4 young grant makers designed a grants scheme for children and young people.
Known Limitations and Issues
- As identified above, there are a small number of schools which were not coded to a ward in the Airtable reference data. This means there are a very small number of engagements not displayed in the hex map above. - The percentage figures for number of schools engaged are slightly incaccurate. In part this is because of a small number of schools not yet coded to a ward, and in part as we explore how to best capture and display data related to through schools.
- The true number of 'Number of Engagements' with young people are slightly lower than displayed. There are a few activities related to engagements with teachers that are currently being captured in the data we are using.
- The headline figure showing the number of young people involved in youth development projects, and the breakdown of these, are not live figures. These are updated manually on a monthly basis.
