Partnership Programme
Alongside the activity produced in-house, LEEDS 2023 also worked closely with existing organisations in Leeds, nationally and international to create a partnership programme. The programme was made up of 66 projects and partnerships came to life in a variety of ways including public events, residencies and public art. This page explores the partnerships, LEEDS 2023’s international links through the partnership programme and the ways audiences engaged.

Known Limitations and Issues
- In many cases, the support LEEDS 2023 has provided has enabled partners to go on to collaborate and work with several additional partners both locally, nationally, and internationally. Each of the projects within the Partnership Programme is unique, and therefore the scale and structure of each varies.
- Events and activities data are extracted from Airtable. Some activities do not have a corresponding ward, therefore the 'Partner events by ward' visualisation does not display data for all events.
- LEEDS 2023 will be supporting contracted partners throughout the year to evaluate their projects in collaboration with The Audience Agency. This evaluation will offer an opportunity for the contracted partners to feedback exactly how many additional partners they engaged with thanks to the LEEDS 2023 support, and this will determine the true breadth of partners for the Year of Culture.
